Summary

Provides a more streamlined experince for setting up application level or for operating system level policies that can be configured. This is similar to the registry of the operating system, however vedors are not given access to the operating system registry.

Thebest use case for these is to configure group policies at the active directory level where the policy is applied to the accounts or groups directly rather than at each machine.
